Amey Date, is a 37 year old singer, who has gained huge popularity with his performance in the famous live singing reality competition, ‘Rising Star’, aired in Colors TV. He was born in Mumbai and he has also participated in another reality competition, ‘Indian Idol’ aired in Sony TV. He has already gained a huge fan base with his performance in the ‘Indian Idol’ competition.

He is from a musical background, where his grandfather was a member of R.D.Burman’s Orchestra and his sister is also a trained classical singer. He has been trained in singing from a very young age. He has been trained under ‘Suresh Wadkar’ and he also teaches students in his academy. Including this, he performs stage shows alongside his Guruji Suresh Wadkar.
