Delhi EWS/DG Nursery Admission 2018-2019 Online Application Form, Registration Guidelines, Eligibility Criteria

Each and every year, Delhi Government conducts the nursery admission process for the people falling under the category of Economically Weaker Section (EWS) / Disadvantaged Group (DG). This admission process will be Organized by Delhi Directorate of Education, which is the education ministry of Delhi Government. In each and every private schools of Delhi, there are about 25% of the admission, will be reserved for people falling under EWS/DG category. The reservation is done for the entry level classes like pre-school, KG classes and primary school.

Registration Procedure for EWS/DG Admission 2018-19:

Before filling the form online, you have to register in the official page of the Delhi Directorate of Education (DOE). Below are the step by step procedure for completing the registration procedure online.

  • Step 2: In the home page, you will find the registration link. You have to click on it.
  • Step 3: Once the registration page opens, you have to select the class in which you have to register. Including this, you have to fill in your personal details and also you have to provide your proof of income while registering.
  • Step 4: When you complete the registration form, you have to click on the ‘register’ button. Once you click on the register button, a pop-up will show and you have to click on ‘OK’. When you click on the OK button, you registration process is complete.
  • Step 5: Once the registration procedure is completed, your registration number and password, will be displayed on the screen. Take a print out of this page for future reference. Please note that, once you provide details and register, you will not be allowed to edit the details.

EWS/DG Admission Online Application Form:

Once you successfully register in the official website, you will provided with a registration number and a specific password. You can use this and login to fill in the application form online. For format, you can refer the previous year’s application form format, which we are providing below. You will find the step by step procedure for filling the application form.

  • At first, you have to provide the parent’s or guardian’s details like Name, Residential Address along with Pin code. These details should be filled along with the address proof. Once you finish this, you can click on ‘Submit’ and proceed to the next step.
  • You can find the schools nearby you residential address. Click on ‘Add’ button and select the schools that are preferred by you. In this step, you can select many schools, according to your comfort. The schools displayed in this page are in the range of 0 – 1 km.
  • In the third step, you will be displayed with schools that are in the distance of 1 – 3 km from your residential address. You can select as many schools as you want, as per your preference.
  • Similarly, in the next 2 steps you will find schools in range 3 – 6 kms and above 6 kms, from your residential address. Select the schools preferred by you.
  • Finally, you can verify all the detail provided by you and click on ‘Submit’ button. Remember when you click this button, your application form will be submitted and it cannot be edited after this stage.
  • The results will be displayed in the official website, as 2 batches on February 28, 2018 and March 15, 2018.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Age Limit:

The age limit for qualifying in the selection process are as follows:

3 Class I 5 – 7 years
  • Monthly Income:

The monthly income of the parents should be less than INR 1 Lakh for qualifying under Economically Weaker Section.

  • Disadvantaged Group Category

When a child belongs the below category, they can qualify under Disadvantaged Group.

  • Scheduled Caste
  • Scheduled Tribe
  • OBC
  • Child with Special needs according to the ‘Person with Disabilities act, 1995’.
  • Orphans specified under ‘Juvenile Justice Act’
  • Transgender

Documents Required for the EWS and DG Category:

  • EWS: The documents required for children belonging in the EWS category are as follows
    • Income certificate of parents issued by Revenue officer above the rank of Tahsildar
  • DG: The documents required for children belonging in the DG category are as follows
    • SC/ST/OBC certificate issued by Revenue Officer
    • Certificate issued by Government Hospital for Children with Special need
    • Documentary evidence for Orphans and Transgender
  • Additional Documents necessary:
    • Ration card
    • Electricity bill
    • Voter ID
    • Aadhaar Card
    • Birth certificate of child
    • Anganwadi Record
