Sujatha Nidudavolu, known by her stage name, Jayasudha Kapoor, is an Indian actress known for her works in Telugu film Industry. She is also a former MLA of the Congress, from the region Secunderabad. She has also worked in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and three Hindi Films.
Career:
Jayasudha, was born in Chennai, to a Telugu-speaking family. She made her debut in the Telugu movie, ‘Pandanti Kapuram’, when she was just 12 years old. In tamil, she made her debut through the movie ‘Arangetram’, where she shared screen space with Kamal Hasaan. Following these, she starred in many Tamil and Telugu movies. However, her performance fetched her numerous roles in Telugu.
She had her big break through the movie, ‘Adavi Ramudu’, released in the year 1977, which was a huge commercial break. She has also acted in over 225 Telugu films, despite her lack of fluency in Telugu language. She would hear the lines read to her by an assistant and deliver the dialogues.
With her outstanding performance, she received 5 State Nandi awards and 6 Filmfare Awards South.
