Sunny M.R., is an Indian composer, Music Producer, Sound Engineer and Playback singer. He is best known for his works in Telugu film Industry. He has also created an album, ‘A fresh waft of cool music, Experimental magic with simplicity’, which won Global Indian music award.
He started his career as Sound engineer, to assist his accomplished brother ‘Shadab Rayeen’. Later, he became an Independent sound engineer, at the age of 15. Following which, he mastered in mixing, arranging, composing various tunes. He worked with Telugu film industry for the period of 6 years. During his time in Keerthana Digital Studio, he collaborated 350 Albums , mastering in Carnatic music.
Initially, he was not very fond of Carnatic music and rather preferred Jazz. Later, he realised that Jazz is the Harmonised version of Carnatic music and has done many albums in Carnatic ragas. Sunny moved to Mumbai to meet Sandeep Chawla and joined as Sound Engineer. With inspiration from many famous people, he joined as Music director and in the Telugu movie ‘Swamy Ra Ra’, he was offered the chance.
He has also won Mirchi Music award for Bollywood movie ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, under the category ‘Best music arranger cum programmer and Song programmer cum arranger of the year’. Currently, he is one of the jury members of the famous Hindi reality singing competition, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa little Champs’, aired on Zee TV.
