Supriya Sule, is an Indian Politician, from Indian National Congress and she is also the Member of Parliament in the 16th Lok Sabha. She is the daughter of Sharad Pawar, President of National Congress Party. She was an MP in Rajya Sabha, representing Maharastra. Recently, she was honoured with Mumbai Women of the Decade Award by All Ladies League for her outstanding contribution to social service.

Career:

She was elected in Rajya Sabha on September 2006, representing Maharastra. In 2009, she contested in the election for the Baramati Lok Sabha constituency and won. In 2011, she led a state level campaign against female foeticide, this included padayatras, college events and competittions. In 2012, under her leadership, the wing Rastravadi Yuvati Congress, was formed to give opportunities to young girls in politics. She has also conducted several rallies against female foeticide, dowry system. She has strong belief in Women Empowerment. Meanwhile, she was accused with IPL allegations, which she denied. However, Economic Times said that Sharad Pawar and Supriya own the highest percent of IPL rights.
