Suzanne D’Mello, formerly known as Suzie Q, is an Indina Playback singer, who is famous for her works in Bollywood and other regional language movies. Including this, she has also lent her voice for many jingles for television advertisements.
She made her debut as Bollywood playback singer, in the year 2006, by the song ‘Khalish’ from the movie ‘Chocolate’, composed by Pritam. However, she got her fame from the song ‘Mahiya’, from the movie Awaarapan. She also received first nomination for the song, in the year 2008. Following this, she sang in many hit songs like ‘Jee Karda, Pyaar Karke, Signaal, Meow etc’.
She has also made her debut in Tamil film industry from the song ‘Hosannah’ from Vinnaithaandi varuvaaya. Currently, her Kannada song ‘Ayyayo Ayyayo’ from the movie ‘Veera Parampare’ gained her recognition in South Indian film Industry as well. In addition to this, she also lent her voice in Oscar and Grammy Award winning tracks, ‘Latika’s Theme and Dreams on fire’ from Slumdog millionaire. She was also a part of A.R.Rahman’s Jai Ho tour.
She also performs with band on tours, which plays western music in various genres like RnB, Retro, Jazz, Pop, etc. Currently, she is one of the jury members of the famous Hindi singing reality competition, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs’, aired on Zee TV.
