Jaya Bhattacharya, is an Indian Television actress, famous for her performance in the Hindi Television Series. Including TV, she was also seen in few Hindi movies, performing in a few small roles. She made her debut in DD National, through the show ‘Saraab’ and came into lime light with her performance in the Hindi Television Series, ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, where she played a role named ‘Payal’. Including this, she was also seen in movies like Devdas, Lajja, Kalpvriksh, etc.
Career:
She was born in Lucknow and was a single child to her parents. She did her schooling in Allahabad and including studies, she also took training in Music and dance. During this time, she got an opportunity for dancing for a holi song in a telefilm. She doubted that if her parents would give permission, by knowing her willingness, her father took her to the director of the telefilm, the next day. This marked the beginning of her acting career.
Later she got an acting opportunity in a play, ‘Ek Hati Manu’. She also got a part in a Lucknow DD show, ‘Neem Ka Ped’. This marked the start of her career in the Television. Later on, she got many opportunities for working in various roles in different Television series. She came into limelight with her performance in the role of ‘Payal’, in the Hindi Television series, ‘ Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’. After this, she was widely appreciated for her performance and she began to give much more importance to the role she chooses.
Recently, there have been many reports claiming that Jaya has been looking for whatever role possible, in order to support her mother, who is in ICU. However, this was clarified by her before few hours that she was not begging others for roles and financial crisis is a part of life. She also cleared that she was neither pleading for money or work. She also stated that she needs some privacy at the moment, since she is looking after her mother in the hospital.
