Chelsi Behura, is 11 year old girl, who is coming from Cuttack, Orissa, with high hopes to win the grand title, in the Live Singing reality competition, ‘Rising Star’, aired on Colors TV. She performed on the song ‘Har Kisi Ko’, in the audition round and impressed the audience and the expert panel judges with her golden voice. She made it to the next round with a score of 93%.
She has lead a difficult life with a fair amount of trails and tribulations, however, she has been born with the beautiful gift of Voice. She is pursuing her 5th grade and she has already been selected as Top 60 contestants of another singing reality competition, Indian Idol Junior, 2015. She is learning Hindustani Classical and Light vocal from Sasmita Mishra Guruma and Sarada Prasanna Sahoo Guruji, respectively.
Chelsi Behura, advanced to the Duels round, after her audition and scored 87% with her top-notch performance of the song ‘Pari Hoon Main’ and defeated Loveleen Kaur. Following this, in ‘Red Sofa Elimination round’, she performed ‘Cham Cham’ song and gained 88%, by which she made it to the ‘Top 14’. The expert panel members, Shankar Mahadevan, Monali Thakur and Diljit Dosanjh are also equally impressed with her amazing performance.
Since the audience are judges in this show and she has already made her stand in the show, lets hope she goes home with a grand title of the year.
