Farida Jalal was born on 14thMarch 1949 in New Delhi. She went on to star in numerous movies in her career. She initially started her career in Bollywood cinema but later ventured into Tamil, Telugu and English-language films. She married with Tabrez Barmavar and has a child named Yaseen Jalal from her husband.
Career:
She started her career as a child artist in the movie Yeh Raaste Hain Pyar Ke in 1963. Her first role in adult age came in the movie Taqdeer in 1967. She went on to play numerous leading and supporting roles throughout the 70’s and 80’s.
She has been well received for her roles and achieved fame with awards in Filmfare Awards for Best Supporting Actress for Paras, Mammo, and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.
She later transitioned from movies to television soap operas. She was seen in Satrangi Sasurai running on the Zee TV.
