Suvir Saran, is an accomplished Indian chef, cookbook author, educator as well as a farmer. He specializes in Indian cooking to the American Kitchen. Even during his studies, he spent his free time in cooking and entertaining his friends with his flavours. He soon turned his interest into business Rasoi, The Indian Kitchen. He has also written cookbooks, which are best selling now a days.

Career:His passion for cooking started while he was pursuing college and he used to cook in his leisure time for his friends. What started out as a hobby became his career, he started Rasoi, The Indian Kitchen. In 1997, he joined as the staff at Department of Food and Nutrition at New York University of Professional Development and Continuing Education program. He later became the Executive chef at ‘Dévi’ in New York.
He was also a contestant of the Bravo’s Top Chef: Masters and made it to the third round, however he was eliminated in the fourth round. He has also written 3 books Masala Farm, American Masala and Indian Home Cooking. He along with his partner Charlie Burd, lives in American Masala Farm, where they tend to variety of heritage breeds of poultry, cattle etc.
